Kimberly Zapata is a Partner in the San Diego office of GRSM. Ms. Zapata is a complex business litigator with over thirty years of experience litigating numerous and various federal and state court matters, including, disability discrimination, gender and race discrimination, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, breach of contract, fraud, interference with business relationships, patent and trademark infringement, unfair competition, and anti-trust. 

Ms. Zapata employs superb management skills, stellar oral advocacy abilities, and exceptional persuasive writing expertise to develop and execute expedient and successful litigation strategies based on each client’s individual needs.

Ms. Zapata has represented a diverse range of clients, including large and small business in the biotech, semiconductor manufacturing, healthcare, medical device manufacturing, telecommunication, software development, internet technologies, and other tech, manufacturing and service industries.

• Crafted numerous winning dispositive (e.g., motions for summary judgment), and procedural (e.g., motions to dismiss) briefs. Most recently, Ms. Zapata won a motion for summary judgment on all claims for race, national origin and disability discrimination brought against her client by an ex-employee. She also won an award of attorney fees and costs as the prevailing party.
