Laegan K. Meyers is a newly minted attorney with a focus on civil litigation, including construction litigation. She brings a collaborative spirit to GRSM, shaped by her diverse experiences, and embraces the challenges and opportunities of the legal profession with dedication and enthusiasm.
Laegan earned her Juris Doctor from University of Idaho, where she distinguished herself as a member of the National Moot Court Team and as a runner-up in the McNichols Oral Advocate Competition. She also holds a master’s degree from the University of Alaska, which further deepened her understanding of the unique challenges and legal needs faced by her community. During her studies, she externed for Judge Winmill at the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho, where she gained firsthand experience with federal court procedures.
Before law school, Laegan worked as a Victim Services Coordinator, advocating for First Nation communities in Saskatchewan, Canada, an experience that fueled her passion for law and justice.
Her decision to join GRSM was a thoughtful one, following her clerkship with Chief Judge David Gratton at the Idaho Court of Appeals. During this clerkship, she worked on complex appellate cases, developing her skills in legal research and writing, and found GRSM’s collaborative culture to be a perfect fit for her professional aspirations.
