Biography

Matthew P. Gallo is a Partner in the firm’s New York and New Jersey offices, and is a member of the Commercial Litigation, Franchise, Employment, Insurance, and Trucking & Transportation practice groups. Matthew represents major corporations, franchisors, closely-held businesses, partnerships, and individuals in many types of commercial and employment disputes.

Matthew has extensive experience representing Fortune 500 and other clients in all areas of labor and employment law, including wage and hour cases, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and breach of contract.  Matthew regularly advises clients on matters relating to the development and implementation of wage and hour policies, employment contracts, employee handbooks, personnel policies, reductions-in-force, independent contractor agreements, and compliance with Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FLSA, and other federal, state, and local employment statutes.

Matthew also works on complex, nationwide class actions involving commercial litigation, consumer protection, labor and employment issues, contract disputes, franchise disputes, restrictive covenants, trademark claims, shareholder disputes, securities, and business torts. Matthew’s litigation experience includes all phases of litigation, and he has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as in mediation and arbitration.

Matthew has extensive experience defending trucking and transportation companies in complex litigation, commercial litigation, driver citations, and most importantly, large loss injury and death claims in both state and federal court.
