Michael C. Heyden, Jr. is the Managing Partner of GRSM’s Wilmington office and is a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Michael specializes in commercial litigation matters with particular focus on corporate governance matters, including the governance and securities issued by Delaware corporations and alternative entities and the fiduciary duties owed by directors and officers.
In connection with his commercial litigation practice, Michael concentrates his practice on the representation of business in all manners of commercial/real estate disputes as well as insurers in coverage and extra-contractual liability counseling and litigation.
Michael also services business entities in employment matters involving allegations of discrimination, restrictive covenants, wage and hour issues, and compliance with other labor-related statutes and regulations.
Michael is skilled in various areas of complex litigation, including class actions, environmental toxic tort matters, and the representation of design professionals and contractors in complex construction-related litigation.
Michael is a life-long lawyer, having worked in his father’s law office from an early age, up until his graduation from law school. After graduating from law school, Michael was a law clerk at the Delaware Superior Court.
