Michael J. Wright is Senior Counsel in the Orange County office of GRSM and is a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group.
He was admitted to practice law in California in 2004 and his practice has focused exclusively on civil and commercial litigation ever since. Michael has represented clients at trial, arbitration, and mediation in a broad range of complex business matters, including contract disputes, business fraud, and multi-million-dollar property, construction, shareholder actions and partnership disputes. He has also had significant success for plaintiffs and defendants in class action litigation in both state and federal courts.
As an active member of the California State Bar, he is licensed to appear and try cases before all state courts in California, as well as the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit.
Michael graduated Magna Cum Laude and Valedictorian in 2003 from Western State College of Law, where he was also selected as a member of Law Review; received four Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence; and a full three-year Dean’s scholarship. He has since been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Southern California Rising Star in 2013 and 2014. His undergraduate work took place at Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, England, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree with honors.
Originally from London, England, where he focused on financial derivatives and international trade, he now lives and works in Orange County, California.
