Richard Daniels is an Associate in the GRSM Chicago office whose practice includes commercial litigation, employment law, tort litigation, and class action matters in federal and state court. Richard has experience representing clients on both sides and at all stages of litigation, giving him a well-rounded perspective to best serve clients’ needs. Richard’s clients also include transportation companies, retail businesses, property managers, manufacturing contractors, and restaurants, for whom he provides employment, transactional, and compliance guidance.
In his litigation practice, Richard has successfully defended claims involving employment disputes, contract disputes, copyright issues, trucking and transportation lawsuits, and general tort actions. Richard also has experience defending product liability lawsuits, catastrophic injury cases, and actions brought under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”), Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), and Civil Rights claims.
Richard earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with a Certificate in Advocacy, where he was a member of the American Bar Association Moot Court Team and received Top Oralist recognition at the Philadelphia regional competition.
Richard clerked for GRSM during his second and third years of law school, where he became familiar with the wide array of legal practices GRSM has to offer.
During law school, Richard also served as a Judicial Extern to Judge Jorge L. Alonso of the Northern District of Illinois, where he gained experience overseeing trials, researching and drafting opinions for criminal cases and civil disputes at the federal level.
