Shelby Coyne specializes in environmental and toxic tort law. She is well-versed in key statues including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, the Clean Water Act, and the California Environmental Quality Act. Additionally, she has insight into navigating regulatory complexities, notably in California Cannabis regulations.
Prior to her role, Shelby honed her skills as a Law Clerk at San Francisco Baykeeper, where she conducted legal research, authored environmental standing declarations, and advocated successfully for environmental regulations. As an Environmental Justice Research Assistant at Santa Clara University School of Law, she collaborated on projects aimed at improving the Environmental Protection Agency’s procedures and Title VI compliance.
