Sungu Kim is a Partner at the Washington, D.C. office of GRSM. Sungu has worked on sophisticated business issues both in and outside of litigation and has substantial expertise in automotive product liability and regulatory issues. Sungu is a native of South Korea and is fluent in that language, as well as in the cultural aspects of Korean business.

Sungu earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University in 2004 after a business career in Korea where he was a manager for a multinational motor company in Seoul from 1995-2000. His assignments included time as a Business Analysis Manager in the Financial Department, and a Human Resources Manager. He also had substantial exposure to the company's manufacturing and accounting operations.

Sungu obtained his B.A. in philosophy from Yonsei University in Korea in 1995. While there, he served two years of military service with the 72nd Infantry Division near the DMZ. After starting work at the motor company, Mr. Kim obtained an M.A. in Labor and Human Resources Management from Ohio State University in 1998.
