Venus Griffith Trunnel is a Senior Counsel with the Sacramento office of GRSM and is a member of the Real Estate and Hospitality Practice Groups. Venus recently joined these groups and now advises hospitality clients, property owners, educational entities, and low-income housing providers. She regularly provides advice and counsel with regard to landlord and tenant relationships, unlawful detainers, premises liability, and breach of habitability claims. Venus’s industry experience also extends to California receiverships over properties, criminal prosecution for violations of local ordinances for cities throughout California, and municipal law.
In addition to her real estate and hospitality law practices, Venus also has significant experience as a Trademark prosecution attorney advising individuals, small businesses and corporations on protection of intellectual property. She previously worked as a Trademark Examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office and holds a LL.M in Intellectual Property.
Between earning her Juris Doctor Degree and entering the practice of law, Venus was a White House Intern in the Office of Vice President Albert A. Gore, Jr. as a legislative liaison. She recently taught Legal Research and Writing and Intellectual Property as an Adjunct Professor at Trinity Law School, Santa Ana, California for five years. In her spare time, Venus enjoys spending time with family, baking, and traveling.
