V. Phillip Hill IV is a Partner in the GRSM Atlanta office and has over fifteen years of experience representing companies throughout all stages of complex civil litigation. He devotes the majority of his practice to employment, business/commercial litigation, and general liability defense matters.
Employment
Phillip defends companies in administrative proceedings and employment litigation concerning all aspects of federal and state law. A focus of Phillip’s practice involves initiating and defending claims involving breach of restrictive covenants and defending against discrimination claims. His counseling work also includes negotiating and drafting employment and separation agreements.
Business and Commercial Litigation
Phillip represents public and privately held entities and their principals in business-related disputes. Phillipl has defended and prosecuted a variety of complex commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secret misappropriation, unfair business practices, fraud, garnishments, and theft. He focuses on a broad array of industries including healthcare providers, telecommunications companies, manufacturers, banks, and service companies.
General Liability
Phillip has defended a variety of businesses, including retailers, contractors, restaurants, public entities, commercial property owners, and individuals in self-insured and insured claims and lawsuits under general liability insurance policies including personal injuries (from slip and falls to catastrophic/wrongful death), assault and battery, premises liability, property damage, government entity liability, trespass and nuisance, and motor vehicle/commercial automobile.
