Andrea Douglas has joined the Orange County office as a member of the Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property and Construction practice groups. An experienced litigator, Ms. Douglas has represented individuals and corporations before California state and federal courts. Her experience includes contract disputes, eminent domain matters, and intellectual property disputes pertaining to peer-to-peer copyright infringement.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Douglas was assistant general counsel to a real estate investment and holding company. In that capacity, she addressed a wide variety of issues including employment disputes, wrongful foreclosure, bankruptcy, and Truth in Lending Act. Additionally, she advised the company on legal issues including wage and hour laws, internet issues, and employment policy.
Ms. Douglas graduated cum laude from Georgetown University and earned her Juris Doctor from Columbia University Law School where she was Articles Editor for the Journal of Law and Social Problems and Recruitment Committee Chair for the Black Law Students Association. Ms. Douglas was recognized as a Rising StarĀ® by Law & Politics from 2004-2008.
