"Sex, Lies and Videotape: Cyber Liability Issues in a Digital World," an article written by Mercedes Colwin and Elizabeth Lorell has become one of the Top 10 Most Read Articles on The Judicial View, an online library of Federal and State court decisions and legal information, including articles published in law journals.
The genesis for the article began in July, 2010, when Mercedes Colwin and Elizabeth Lorell presented a seminar of the same title at the Annual Conference of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel ("FDCC") in Munich, Germany. They then authored a paper on the subject, which was subsequently published by the FDCC Quarterly, and republished by the New York State Bar Association's Employment Magazine in the Spring of 2011. The Federation Quarterly is one of the journals included on The Judicial View which provides links to the articles. The article was also recently republished in the Fall 2011 edition of The Senior Lawyer Magazine, a publication of the Senior Lawyers Section of the New York State Bar Association.
The FDCC is composed of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction, and is dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members as they pursue the course of a balanced justice system and represent those in need of a defense in civil lawsuits. Both Ms. Colwin and Ms. Lorell are members of the FDCC and active in its Employment Section, where Ms. Lorell serves as the current Chair. At the FDCC's upcoming Winter Meeting, Ms. Colwin and Ms. Lorell will be presenting a seminar on "Borders and Fences: Immigration and its Impact on Employment and Civil Rights" in Scottsdale, Arizona.
