On July 5, 2011, the AmLaw 200 law firm of Gordon & Rees continued the expansion of its national platform with the opening of an office in Hartford, Connecticut. The Hartford office is the third office opened by the firm in 2011, and its 20th office overall. With existing offices in New York City, Long Island, and Florham Park, New Jersey, the Hartford office will further broaden Gordon & Rees's northeastern presence with a fourth location.
The Hartford office is led by veteran trial litigator, Dennis Brown, who joins Gordon & Rees from Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge. Mr. Brown has a well recognized and established career in litigation, having handled and tried numerous complex, high-stakes engagements (including class actions) in the areas of insurance bad faith, products liability, commercial and environmental claims, among others.
