For the second year in a row, Gordon & Rees has been recognized in the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in America. In its recently published 2011 report, Inc. magazine ranked Gordon & Rees at #4610, based on the firm's 14% growth in revenue from 2007 through 2010. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2007. "Now more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward," says Inc. magazine Editor Jane Berentson. "Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is?companies that are light, nimble and fleet of foot."
The companies included on this year's list have created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and Gordon & Rees has participated in that job growth. Since 2007, the firm has grown its personnel by 27%, increasing its attorney count to over 450 and its staff to more than 500, in addition to opening 7 new offices throughout the country. With 20 national offices in 13 states, Gordon & Rees is now ranked #120 in the National Law Journal's list of the 250 largest U.S. law firms and #155 in The American Lawyer's list of the 200 highest revenue U.S. law firms.
About the Inc. 500 list: The list was originally published in 1981, ranking the 100 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. It expanded to the Inc. 500 the following year, and the Inc. 5000 list made its first appearance in 2007.
