Mike Pietrykowski, a partner in the San Francisco office of Gordon & Rees, will be speaking at the 13th Annual Advanced Forum on Asbestos Claims and Litigation sponsored by the American Conference Institute. The conference will focus on current theories, hiring and maintaining the right medical experts, and preparing a sophisticated litigation strategy when defending and managing asbestos claims. It will take place at The Union League in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from January 31st to February 1st, 2013.
Mike will co-chair a panel discussion addressing, "Litigating Claims Involving Component Part Manufacturers". The topic includes subjects such as the impact of the O'Neil decision, whether the holding permits for "exceptions," and recent cases in Federal and State Courts assessing whether a manufacturer has a duty to warn for replacement parts and external insulation.
