Gordon & Rees Denver partner Franz Hardy has been named to Lawyers of Color's Inaugural Hot List, Midwest Region, which recognizes early- to mid-career attorneys under 40 who are excelling in the legal profession.
Lawyers of Color is a media and research company that aims to promote the causes and contributions of minority attorneys. A selection committee comprised of Lawyers of Color editorial staff and advisers, as well as law school fellows and interns, reviewed nominations, bar publications, and legal blogs to identify promising candidates. Editorial picks were based on research of attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments or were active in legal pipeline initiatives.
Hardy, chair of Gordon & Rees’s National Diversity Committee, focuses on commercial and insurance litigation. He is recognized as an accomplished professional liability practitioner with a successful record representing dozens of attorneys and law firms.
He is the recipient of the 2012 Richard Marden Davis Award, presented each year by the Denver Bar Association to an attorney under age 40, in recognition of his excellence as a lawyer and his civic, cultural, educational, and charitable leadership. Hardy also is immediate past-president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado, a member of the board of directors for the Center for Legal Inclusiveness, and serves on the University of Colorado Law School's Alumni Board.
