On June 23, Gordon & Rees Philadelphia partner Joseph Arnold was elected to serve on the national board of directors for the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA). During his three-year term, he will provide organizational leadership and strategic initiatives to bring national attention and increased public and private resources to lupus.
Arnold recently completed a two-year term as chairman of the LFA Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter’s board of directors. He is active in lupus advocacy and raises tens of thousands of dollars annually through Team Haas, which has participated in Philadelphia’s Lupus Loop 5k run/walk since 1991. Arnold, who has been involved in the LFA since he was a teenager, says, “It is an honor for me to serve on the national board of directors as we work to accelerate the pace of lupus research and to ensure all communities are educated and have access to the services and support they need.”
LFA is the only national force devoted to solving the mystery of lupus, an unpredictable and devastating disease, while giving support to those who suffer from its brutal impact. Through a comprehensive program of research, education, and advocacy, LFA leads the fight to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus.
