On March 23, Gordon & Rees partner Patricia Lee-Gulley of Orange County delivered the keynote address at the inaugural banquet for the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA) of Western State College of Law in Fullerton. Lee-Gulley stressed to the students the importance of raising the profile of American Pacific American attorneys, who comprise only 7.7 percent of lawyers in California. Lee-Gulley commended APALSA for its successful year and encouraged the audience to maintain their passion as they transition into the legal profession.
In recognition of her service to the community, APALSA presented Lee-Gulley with its Outstanding Community Service Award. In 2012, during her year as president of the Orange County Women Lawyers Association, Lee-Gulley worked with local women and Asian Pacific law student associations to encourage them to engage in their own community service projects.
On May 9, Lee-Gulley will be installed as the 20th president of the Orange County Asian American Bar Association, the only Pan-Asian bar association in Orange County. She also will be inducted into Western State College of Law’s Alumni Hall of Fame on May 18.
