On Aug. 2, Gordon & Rees New Jersey partner Elizabeth F. Lorell was elected to serve a one-year term as a Senior Director on the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC) Board of Directors.
Lorell previously served as an FDCC Director and was the CLE Program Chair of the 2013 FDCC Winter Meeting. Her numerous leadership positions within the FDCC include a Vice President of the Board (2011-2012) and Chair (2010-2011) and Vice Chair (2007-2009) of the Employment Practices Section. In 2011, Lorell received the John Alan Appleman Award, which honors the chair who made outstanding contributions to advance the FDCC's education goals through his or her substantive law section’s work. Lorell has also been named the FDCC’s Convention Chair for their Winter Meeting in March 2014.
Lorell is a partner in Gordon & Rees’s Insurance, Professional Liability Defense and Employment Practice Groups and serves as Co-Chair of the firm's E-Discovery Practice. She has nearly 25 years of experience handling employment litigation, insurance coverage, professional liability, class actions and other complex litigation. She has written numerous articles on insurance, employment and e-discovery topics, among others.
