On March 9, partner Kara B. Persson and associate Lorrie A. Cantrell represented Gordon & Rees as volunteers at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program’s 24th Annual Women's Resource Fair.
At the fair, more than 500 homeless, abused, indigent, and physically challenged women and their children spent the day accessing basic services such as legal advice, medical exams, employment opportunities, housing information, counseling, self-defense classes, and public benefits.
Kara, Lorrie, retired San Diego Superior Court Judge Linda Quinn and others provided child care for 3- and 4-year-olds at last Saturday’s event, held at Golden Hall. About 400 volunteers and more than 100 organizations donated their time and services to make the day a success.
