On Oct. 18, Gordon & Rees’s Portland office co-sponsored the OGALLA, LGBT Bar Association of Oregon’s annual dinner and silent auction held at the Hotel Vintage Plaza, Portland.
This year OGALLA recognized key individuals involved in the legal fight for marriage equality in Oregon including Lake Perriguey and Lea Ann Easton, two attorneys involved in the lawsuits and the organization that led the state ballot initiative. The event’s keynote speaker was family law and legal ethics attorney Mark Johnson Roberts, an LGBT civil rights advocate who has fought for marriage equality for more than 25 years.
Gordon & Rees associate and OGALLA member Jessica Osborne served as the silent auction coordinator. Auction proceeds were donated to the Bill & Ann Shepherd Legal Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to law students dedicated to working for equality for the LGBT community.
