The Defense Research Institute, the leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel, has appointed Gordon & Rees Philadelphia partner James E. Robinson as Chair of DRI's Aviation Law Committee.
In an August 21 letter to Robinson, DRI president-elect Laura Proctor noted that committee chairs and others familiar with each committee recommended Robinson, which DRI officers approved. Robinson’s appointment is for a one-year term that begins at the conclusion of the DRI Annual Meeting, to be held October 7-11 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park.
Robinson's practice includes products liability, aviation, commercial litigation, construction and appellate matters. His clients include major aviation manufacturers, commercial airlines, Part 135 operators, FBOs, certified Repair Stations and aviation insurers. He has handled wrongful death and survival actions, ground handling claims, passenger injury claims, commercial disputes, and aviation product recalls, in a number of jurisdictions around the country, at trial and on appeal.
