Gene Chikowski has joined Gordon & Rees as a partner in the firm's Philadelphia office. He is a member of the firm's Business Transactions and Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights practice groups. Mr. Chikowski comes to the firm from Flaster Greenberg’s Philadelphia office.

He works with his clients to analyze financial risks and develops strategic approaches to solve legal issues. Gene will be an asset in providing a high level of service to our clients.”
Mr. Chikowski represents large corporate institutions in bankruptcy and bankruptcy-related matters and consumer regulatory work. His clients range from a Fortune 100 worldwide financial services company, an international media company, to a leading petroleum refining company and other New York-based companies.
In addition, he provides legal counsel on financial risk management and works directly with industry executives during business negotiations to develop creative approaches to solving complex legal issues. He also represents clients in litigation and after the case concludes he continues to work with his clients to analyze the root cause of legal issues and reduce further exposure.
Mr. Chikowski is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute; Eastern District Bankruptcy Conference; U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Mediation Panel for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in the Philadelphia Area.
Mr. Chikowski has presented seminars for the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and clients on bankruptcy related issues and Chapter 11 proceedings.
He earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, and his B.A. in Economics from Wilkes College. Mr. Chikowski has been named to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers lists in 2004, 2007 and 2010-2016. Mr. Chikowski is a graduate of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Pennsylvania's 2005 Leadership Class and an active volunteer in several charities.
