Gordon & Rees recently received an award for being among the Best Places to Work for members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. The award was presented following the firm’s perfect score of 100 on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for LGBTs.
The 2016 CEI LGBT Workplace Equality Awards Ceremony honored companies that achieved the perfect score and featured presentations by individuals from Time Warner, Salesforce, Cigna, Banamex/Citigroup, and the Human Rights Campaign.

The 2016 CEI rated 1,024 businesses in its report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
