Phoenix Partner Kami M. Hoskins is the 2016 recipient of the "Arizona Black Bar (ABB) Excellence in Diversity Rising Star Award." This honorary award is presented to an Arizona Black Bar member with less than eight years of practice who has demonstrated dedication, high achievement and had a significant impact on promoting diversity and inclusion in the Arizona legal profession. The award will be presented at the 2016 Hayzel B. Daniels Scholarship Dinner on October 20, 2016 at the Phoenix Art Museum.
Only one recipient is selected each year to receive this honor. Hoskins' credentials were thoroughly evaluated and scrutinized against the award's criteria by a panel of three judges on the ABB Selection Committee. The criteria for the Rising Star Award are the following:
- Record of accomplishments and contributions to the Arizona Black Bar.
- Served as mentor, role-model, presenter or speaker to high school, college or law students to promote diversity and inclusion in the Arizona legal profession.
- Active member of State Bar Committees, Arizona Supreme Court Committees, Legal Service Boards or other pro bono work.
- Significant accomplishments within the Arizona legal profession which impacted diversity and inclusion in the Arizona legal profession.
Kami Hoskins is dedicated to creating and implementing effective resolutions to complex legal issues for a variety of clients. She focuses her practice on Employment Law and Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors' Rights. Ms. Hoskins is also an accomplished diversity and inclusion facilitator.
