Denver senior counsel Lance Ream has been named co-chair of the Litigation Management Subcommittee of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation Corporate Counsel Committee. Lance is a long time member of the Corporate Counsel Committee and has previously served as an editor of its website.
The Corporate Counsel Committee focuses on solutions to law and practice issues through dialogue between inside and outside counsel representing corporations. Its membership is balanced between inside and outside counsel. Focusing on management and process, including litigation billing and budgeting, the Litigation Management Subcommittee focuses on the very heart of the relationship between in-house and outside counsel. In doing so, it has brought to the forefront for open discussion some of the most important issues that face outside counsel in working to meet the expectations and objectives of in-house lawyers, as both seek to get the best results for their common client. The Litigation Management Subcommittee is the long-time sponsor of the Litigation Management Roundtable, which takes place every year at the committee’s annual CLE event.
Lance’s practice focuses on business litigation, primarily dealing with contractual disputes and business torts. He is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation, ERISA, professional liability defense, and D&O and shareholder litigation practice groups.
