On October 19, 2017, Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani's Chicago office hosted the Diversity Scholarship Foundation’s (DSF) All Bar Presidents’ reception. The event brought out about 50 of Chicago’s various bar associations’ presidents and past presidents, including the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, Cook County Bar Association, Decalogue Society of Lawyers, and Hellenic Bar Association, as well as Circuit Court and Appellate Court judges. Chicago attorneys Kyle Kickert, Avanti Bakane, and Ashley Gray represented the firm at the event. Currently, Bakane serves as a committee member for DSF’s annual Unity Dinner on November 29, 2017.
DSF is committed to embracing, furthering, and celebrating diversity in the legal community. The organization provides a number of scholarship opportunities for law students across the state. The firm’s guests celebrated the growth of DSF and its record breaking number of law student scholarship applicants in 2017.
