San Francisco Partner Robert M. Bodzin will moderate a Q & A session with keynote speaker California Senator Thomas J. Umberg at the California Lawyers Association 2019 Military and Veterans Summit on Monday, December 9, 2019 in San Francisco. Justice Ming Chin, Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court will also be a keynote speaker and his Q & A session will be moderated by Kathy Brewer.
The one-day conference will include four moderated panel presentations, plus two keynote speakers Q & A sessions at lunch. Each presentation will cover current legal issues impacting active military and veterans including Sexual Assault in the Military, LGBT Service-Members and Veterans Rights, Discharge Upgrades: How to Restore Veteran Status and Benefits and Federal Appellate and Class Action Litigation against the DOD and the VA.
Bodzin is a member of the Military & Veterans Committee which is part of the Litigation Section of the California Lawyers Association where he is also a current advisor. Gordon & Rees is also represented on the Litigation Section by San Francisco Construction Litigation Partner Lisa Cappelluti.
