Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Chicago partner, Stephanie Jones and associate Kate Decker authored an article "Collaboration Leads to Empowerment" published in the June edition of DRI's For the Defense publication.
The article, in interview format, describes the experience of being promoted while on maternity leave at Gordon & Rees and how family life is not seen as an impediment to her career at the firm. The article further details the support from other women attorneys and the firm itself, that has created a collaborative environment and opportunities for women with families.
Jones specializes in defending employers, decision-makers, insurance agents and brokers and businesses in commercial, business, employment, professional liability and environmental/toxic tort litigation matters. She has successfully litigated cases on behalf of her clients before administrative agencies, and in various state and federal courts throughout the country. She is the Assistant Managing partner of the Chicago office of Gordon & Rees.
Decker is a member of the Employment Law practice group. She has represented employers in discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation cases before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including the EEOC, state EEO agencies, OSHA, in Illinois. She also represents small businesses, financial services companies, not-for-profit corporations, including condominium associations and Board of Directors in various professional liability litigation.
