Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Peter E. Strniste, Jr. and Todd R. Regan as Partners in the firm's Construction practice group. These two new partners were previously members of Robinson & Cole and practice in multiple states throughout the northeast, including New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Peter E. Strniste, Jr. has represented clients in both state and federal courts in a wide variety of litigation matters. He has served as a neutral arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and has also appeared before various arbitration tribunals on behalf of clients. He routinely represents owners, developers, construction managers, general contractors, and trade contractors. He counsels them regarding claims for breach of contract and warranty, defective and deficient plans and specifications, construction defects, insurance disputes, project delays, impacts and inefficiency claims, and wrongful terminations. He has also represented some of the largest sureties in the country in actions involving bond defaults and in defense of bad faith claims on both public and private projects. He frequently writes and presents on construction matters.
Strniste has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© in the area of Construction Law since 2017, and has been selected to the Connecticut Super Lawyers list since 2014. In 2015, he was selected as a finalist for the Associated General Contractors of Connecticut, Industry Recognition Award – Service Provider of the Year.
His practice focuses on all types of construction-related contracts, including master owner – contractor agreements, master subcontracts, joint venture agreements, and many others. He is experienced at negotiating large construction and trade contracts in both the New York metro area and Boston, Massachusetts, where there are especially stringent city and state requirements for construction projects.
Strniste is a member of the American Bar Association Construction Forum and previously served as a Fellow in the Construction Lawyers Society of America. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Connecticut Surety Association and is Past President of the organization.

Todd R. Regan has a wide range of experience representing all players in the architecture, engineering, and construction community in project-related claims, and in negotiating and drafting construction agreements. He regularly advises construction managers, trade contractors, owners, and design professionals in disputes concerning project delays and inefficiencies, defective design and construction, unfair trade practices, bad faith, bond claims, and mechanic's liens. He counsels clients in the negotiation of complex construction agreements and has extensive experience representing sureties with respect to payment and performance bond claims, contractor defaults, takeover and completion agreements, and the defense of bad faith claims.
He frequently represents parties in construction disputes in the state and federal courts of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York, and he has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Connecticut Supreme Court. He has been recognized for numerous years by Super Lawyers Magazine and in 2019 was selected to the Top 100 for New England. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© in the areas of Commercial Litigation since 2018, Litigation-Construction since 2017, and Construction Law since 2019.
