Las Vegas partners Robert E. Schumacher and Robert S. Larsen have been selected as two of Nevada’s "Legal Elite 2020” by Nevada Business magazine. Schumacher was recognized for his expertise in the areas of construction claims & defects, commercial litigation and employer liability. Larsen was recognized for his expertise in commercial litigation, real estate and business transactions. Schumacher and Larsen are the co-managing partners of the Las Vegas office.
Associate Wing Yan Wong was also named to the "Best Up and Coming" list of attorneys in Nevada. Wong was recognized for her expertise in commercial litigation, real estate and professional liability.
In its thirteenth year, "Legal Elite" is an annual report of Nevada's top attorneys who are chosen by their peers. Polling for the 2020 list began in February and more than 4,500 nominations were submitted by licensed attorneys throughout Nevada.
This year's list includes only the top three percent of attorneys in Nevada. Before being chosen as a "Legal Elite," each nominated attorney's vote was reviewed for eligibility and each voting attorney was vetted through the State Bar of Nevada to confirm good standing.
Nominated lawyers were scored based on the number and type of votes they received. Nominations from attorneys at other firms received a scoring of three points and nominations from the same firm received one point. After final scores were tabulated, the top scorers were re-verified for accuracy and the "Legal Elite" list was finalized.
Schumacher is a member of the Construction and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups. He has more than 29 years of experience in the areas of complex litigation defense, construction, insurance coverage, general liability, commercial litigation, and toxic tort including toxic exposure matters.
Larsen is a member of the Commercial Litigation, ERISA, Real Estate and Business Transactions Practice Groups. He has more than 18 years of experience in the areas of complex commercial litigation, business transactions, real estate and ERISA/employment law.
Wong is a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. She has more than five years of experience in the areas of complex commercial litigation, professional liability, and real estate law.
