This panel will focus on the wage and hour considerations in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the newly enacted federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act, New York Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act, New York City Paid Sick Leave Law, as well as various other states’ counterpart policies, and the potential liability and claims that may arise from adverse employment actions taken in response to the economic shutdown.

Beckman is a partner in the New York office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the commercial litigation, professional liability, and employment law practice groups.
