Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Seattle partner Allen Estes will present at the American Bar Association (“ABA”) Forum on Construction Law's Regional Meeting in Seattle on September 30 and October 1, 2021. The Forum is presenting “Construction Law Essentials” in six cities across the country during these regional events.
On Thursday, September 30 at 1:30 p.m. Pacific, Estes will present a session entitled, "Termination, Job Completion, and Contractor Payment." This session will address legal implications of terminating a project or a party from a project, legal requirements for project completion, and general issues regarding payment.
On Friday, October 1 at 2:15 p.m. Pacific, he will be a panelist for a session entitled, “Masonry.” This session will go through masonry requirements on a construction project from a contractor’s perspective in an attempt to educate lawyers regarding masonry as a construction discipline.
Members of the Forum on Construction Law represent all segments of the construction industry: owners, design professionals, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers, insurers and sureties.
Estes is an Executive Committee Member and a Co-Chair of the Gordon & Rees Construction practice group. He represents a variety of companies and professionals in the construction industry. He has represented general contractors, developers, owners, engineers, sureties and specialty subcontractors in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration tribunals. He has also defended and prosecuted payment disputes, termination claims, construction-defect matters, and a variety of breach of contract cases across the country.
