Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani opened its 72nd office in Spokane, Washington on October 4, 2021. Meredith Thielbahr will serve as the Office Managing Partner. The firm’s Spokane office will feature the capabilities of seven experienced partners that work in a variety of practice areas.

The Spokane, Washington office of Gordon & Rees serves the firm’s clients in eastern Washington and northern Idaho. The attorneys in the Spokane office work closely with our other offices in the region, including Seattle, Portland, and Boise, and collaborate with Gordon & Rees attorneys across all 50 states. Gordon & Rees has the platform to serve its clients’ needs across the country. Meredith Thielbahr is Managing Partner of the Spokane office of Gordon & Rees and represents government contract and commercial construction industry clients as outside civil litigation counsel. Her practice focuses on assisting contractors and suppliers in dispute resolution in both the commercial and public contracting arena. She works closely with clients on internal compliance investigations, and handles formal qui tam and government lawsuits. She is versed at interpreting contract and regulatory compliance.
Allen Estes is a partner at the firm where he advises clients on construction, public procurement, commercial, and renewable energy matters. Allen also serves as a Co-Chair of the Construction practice group and is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.
Donald Verfurth is a partner and focuses on insurance coverage, with special emphasis on environmental, products liability, directors and officers, excess casualty, ERISA, construction, bad faith and title insurance. This has also included representing insurance companies in appeals in a variety of complex matters, before the appellate courts of Washington and Oregon, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mark Tuvim is Managing Partner of the Seattle office of Gordon & Rees and a partner in the Environmental/Toxic Tort, Tort & Product Liability, Employment, and Professional Liability Defense practice groups. He handles a wide variety of toxic tort and product liability cases, including those involving asbestos litigation, personal injuries, and wrongful death.
Sarah Turner is a partner practicing in Washington and Oregon. Her employment and labor practice includes a hybrid of counseling and litigation. She is an experienced litigator who has represented and defended employers in matters involving claims for wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, privacy, defamation, ADA, leave and benefits, breach of contract, violation of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, and wage and hour.
Nicole Demmon is a partner in the Seattle and Spokane offices. Her practice focuses on employment litigation where she represents employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour matters. She practices in both state and federal court.
David Silke is a partner in the Seattle and Spokane offices of Gordon & Rees. He co-founded the Seattle office in 2008. He is a native of the State of Washington and has practiced in both Washington and Oregon since 1991. He has also represented clients in lawsuits in California, Nevada, Alaska, and Hawaii.
John Leary is a Gordon & Rees partner based in the firm’s Washington offices. In addition to Washington, he is licensed in California, Nevada, Utah and Idaho. His practice focuses on construction law with an emphasis on claim preparation, litigation and dispute resolution for construction industry clients on public and private projects.
Richard Sybert is a senior partner and Co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group, working out of the firm’s Seattle, San Diego, Spokane, and Honolulu offices. He has a national and international practice representing and counseling major U.S. and foreign businesses in complex commercial litigation and arbitration of all kinds in state and federal courts, and before administrative agencies.
