Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani's Hartford office was featured by Law360 Pulse in their Office Snapshot. The profile details the firm's leadership, the team, work, and the continued expansion in Connecticut and around the firm during the past year.
The Hartford office added nine lawyers to its construction, employment, product liability, cybersecurity and intellectual property practices over the past year, bringing its total attorney headcount to 33. John J. Robinson co-manages the Hartford office with Dennis O. Brown.
Robinson told Law360 Pulse that the office's recent hires are consistent with the firm's nationwide growth over the last decade. He noted that the Hartford office has tripled in size since its founding in 2011. "We are always looking to grow, both in our core areas but also in new practices that may be complementary to our existing offerings," Robinson said of the Connecticut office's expansion approach.
The article also featured the numerous wins scored by the Hartford office over the last year in its health care, insurance and class action practices. The office's most recent victories include getting three doctors dismissed from opioid prescription litigation in Utah and reaching a settlement between an insurance company client and a New Jersey restaurant over business interruption insurance coverage for the coronavirus pandemic. Both cases were resolved in February.
Of the office's nine lawyer hires over the last year, five were additions to the firm's emerging construction practice in Connecticut. Peter E. Strniste and Todd R. Regan, experienced construction attorneys, both joined the firm's construction group as partners in April 2020. Strniste and Regan each have more than 15 years of experience in construction law.
