Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Sacramento Senior Counsel Kathleen Gallagher will present “You’re Fired! Thinking Through a Corporate Client’s Firing of a Business Litigator,” at the California Lawyers Association’s Solo and Small Firm Summit 2021 on Thursday, June 24, at 10 a.m. Pacific.
An attorney's ethical obligations to a client continue even after the client fires the attorney (or vice versa). This presentation will examine those ethical obligations, as well as the unique circumstances of representing a corporate entity in business litigation, communicating with the entity, and dealing with nonresponsive representatives.
Gallagher has been a civil litigator since 2007, prosecuting and defending claims on behalf of individuals and companies. She has helped to resolve contract disputes; professional negligence claims; employment claims including sexual harassment and workers’ compensation subrogation; real property claims; personal injury; and others. Her background, combined with her analytical and research skills, allow her to come up with creative and effective solutions for clients.
California Lawyers Association’s Solo and Small Firm Summit is an annual two-day event bringing together a community of solo and small firm practitioners to learn and connect in a virtual environment.
