Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani has named San Francisco partner Sara A. Moore to help lead the office’s Employment Law practice group for Northern California. Moore will be joining Michael D. Bruno who has successfully led and grown this practice group since 2011.
Gordon & Rees’ Employment Law practice group provides employment counseling and litigation services to world-renowned universities, medical centers and nearly every type of business, from Fortune 500 corporations to startups and nonprofits. Our attorneys complement litigation expertise with preventive training, offering guidance in programs and techniques designed to avoid the consequence and cost of further involvement with conflict and dispute management. Trial lawyers represent management in employment disputes in state and federal court, both at the trial and appellate levels, and before federal and state administrative agencies such as the EEOC, the NLRB, the DFEH, and the DOL.
Moore’s litigation practice includes defending single plaintiff and class action cases in state and federal courts. She represents large corporations, small businesses, and non-profits in employment matters. In particular, Moore has developed significant experience in defending employers in complex wage and hour cases, including PAGA representative actions. Moore regularly advises management on how to navigate strategic personnel decisions, employee discipline/ termination, disability accommodation, and wage and hour compliance.
Bruno was recently elected to American Board of Trial Advocates ("ABOTA"). He represents both private and public entities in employment matters, focusing his practice on defending management against wage and hour class action, discrimination, retaliation and harassment claims. Bruno also represents businesses accused of failing to provide fair and equal access for patrons with disabilities. Over the course of his career, Bruno has tried many cases successfully before state and federal court juries. He also defends employers in union grievance proceedings including arbitrations.
