Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Pittsburgh Partner Brian John, Senior Counsel Lauren Oelrich along with Louisiana State University professor Keith Hall, will present "Hot Topics in Carbon Capture & Sequestration," for the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation's Fall Symposium and Solar Institute on October 12 in Louisville, Kentucky. Jennifer Smokelin and Casey Snyder from Reed Smith will also be part of a the panel.
The Energy & Mineral Law Foundation is a national nonprofit that fosters the study of natural resource development and energy use laws and regulations.
Brian John is a member of the firm's Energy, Real Estate and Commercial Litigation practice groups. He primarily focuses on counseling multiple energy, oil, gas and mineral-related clients on transaction matters as they relate to high-volume transactions, title issues, opinions and division order title opinions in the Appalachian Basin. He also advises buyers and sellers in residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Lauren Oelrich is a member of the firm’s Energy, Real Estate and Commercial Litigation practice groups. Her practice involves counseling multiple upstream exploration and production companies on high-volume transactional matters in Appalachian Basin, including conducting asset due diligence, preparation of certified title opinions for mineral ownership, coal, railroads, roads, and pipelines, as well as the management and preparation of curative on major property acquisition.
