Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes David P. Cañas as a Partner in the firm’s Nashville office. He joins the Commercial Litigation, Real Estate, Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors' Rights practice groups.
Cañas is a commercial litigator with more than 27 years of experience representing and advising clients in a wide variety of business disputes, including breach of contract, non-compete and non-solicitation issues, business torts and fraud, and real estate and construction disputes. He is also experienced in representing clients’ interests in bankruptcy matters.

Before beginning his practice, Cañas served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Hewitt P. Tomlin, Jr., and David R. Farmer on the Tennessee Court of Appeals in Jackson, Tennessee. He is an avid runner and has run more than 20 marathons, including the Boston Marathon several times.
He is admitted to practice in Tennessee. He earned his law degree from the University of Tennessee and his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.
