The article examines the new wave of employee class actions and claims raised under the Private Attorneys General Act ("PAGA"). These lawsuits are seeking reimbursements for employee expenses accrued while working from home during the pandemic — including telephone, internet and even electricity. Mr. Fox provides an evaluation of California law, labor code and shares guidance for employers in the state in the face of these actions.
