This session will explore COVID-19 litigation against assisted living providers in Colorado and various issues triggering potential exposure. Presenters will touch on a recent California court’s concerning decision to allow a wrongful death lawsuit against an employer to proceed and why it is worrisome in the COVID-19 liability debate for Colorado assisted living providers.
Ms. Kozal frequently represents a variety of healthcare professionals and entities, including physician groups, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living residences, home health agencies, ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health facilities, hospitals and other health facilities. Her practice focuses on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters, healthcare litigation, privacy and data security, Medicare/Medicaid certification and reimbursement, fraud and abuse, provider contracting, licensure and accreditation.
Ms. Boehmer represents healthcare providers in litigation and regulatory disputes, including matters involving professional liability, personal injury, fraud and abuse, and disciplinary actions.
