Chicago Associate Andre A. Hunter, Jr. will be honored with the "Rising Star Award for Leaders with Exceptional Promise" at the Annual Meeting of the Chicago Bar Association ("CBA") Young Lawyers Section on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 5:00-7:30 p.m. Central.
This event, which welcomes attorneys and law students alike, will be followed by a reception at the renowned Chicago Bar Association building, located at 321 S. Plymouth Ct., Chicago, IL 60604.
Currently serving a two-year term from 2022-2024 as a director on the Executive Council of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, Mr. Hunter has dedicated himself to advancing the goals and impact of the organization. Most recently, he has been appointed as Chicago Bar Association Ambassador to his alma mater, Loyola University Chicago School of Law, reflecting his commitment to fostering connections between legal professionals and aspiring law students.
Among his contributions, he was also appointed to the CBA Nominations Committee, comprised of 16 eminent judges and seasoned attorneys, entrusted with the task of evaluating and selecting future leaders for the positions of president, secretary, treasurer, and members of the Board of Managers of the CBA. Additionally, Mr. Hunter is a member of the CBA Membership Committee, actively involved in the recruitment and retention of members, while spearheading innovative initiatives to promote the Chicago Bar Association within the modern legal landscape.
Mr. Hunter is based in the firm's Chicago office, where he concentrates his practice on the defense of individuals and corporate entities in Environmental/Toxic Tort, Premises Liability, Employment Law, and Commercial Litigation matters.
