Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Senior Counsel Catherine Delorey will present for the American Bar Association's Forum on Construction Law 2023 Midwinter program, “Old World Meets New World: New Solutions to Timeless Problems” in Puerto Rico February 1 —3. This program will cover a broad spectrum of topics that appeal to both a litigation and transactional practice of all experience levels.
She will be a featured panelist presenting a session entitled, "Construction Lawyer’s Duty of Technological Competence – Ethical Implications of the Use of Technology and Artificial Intelligence," on February 3. The session will discuss and analyze the lawyer’s duty of technological competence (ABA Model Rule 1.1) and its relationship to other ethical duties.
Catherine Delorey is Senior Counsel in the San Francisco office of Gordon & Rees and a member of the Construction practice group. She has many years of experience aggressively resolving disputes through negotiation, arbitration, and litigation with a “hands-on” approach in addressing client concerns. She has experience representing contractors on a number of legal issues facing the construction industry, including: differing site conditions, nondisclosure, delays and acceleration, liquidated damages, termination, extra work, payment and retention withholdings, lien claims, and bid protests.
