Today, on March 8th, we celebrate International Women’s Day, a day that recognizes the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. This year’s Gordon & Rees Women’s Initiative theme is “Embrace Equity,” which reflects the idea that each of us is responsible for embracing fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all.

Over the past 15 years, Gordon & Rees has expanded from 300 attorneys across 13 offices to over 1,100 attorneys in all 50 states. Amidst this remarkable growth, the firm has remained steadfast in our commitment to inclusion and diversity at the highest levels. At present, women make up 44% of all attorneys, 51% of associates, 37% of partners and 19% of equity partners. As a result, the firm now ranks among the Top 15 Law Firms for Women Attorneys at firms with 600+ female attorneys, as recognized by Law360.
Gordon & Rees will be organizing both in-person and virtual events to celebrate our female and diverse attorneys and clients.
This International Women’s Day, we encourage everyone to take action towards creating a more gender-equal world. We can all play a role in challenging gender stereotypes, bias, and inequality, and we must work together to create a more inclusive environment for all.
