Orange County Co-Managing Partner Christine Barker will co-present "Technical and Code Aspects of Investigation of Fire Impact on Buildings and Their Occupants" at the 2023 DRI Fire Science and Litigation Seminar in Washington, D.C. on August 16-18, 2023.
The presentation will cover the approach of codes to fire safety, discuss the most widely adopted model code, and present typical questions that arise in an investigation, whether before or after a fire incident, and some technical tools available to help the investigations. This information is essential to allow attorneys to engage the right experts and ask the right questions.
Ms. Barker is Co-Managing Partner of the firm's Orange County office and a member of the Construction and Government Contracts practice groups. Included in her 20 years of legal experience, Ms. Barker has handled complex fire matters, both residential and commercial. By working closely with cause and origin experts, she has been able to successfully navigate the reconstruction of a fire loss to assess liability and resolve strategy.
