Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Spokane Managing partner Meredith Thielbahr will present for the American Bar Association's Forum on Construction Law 2023 Midwinter program, “Old World Meets New World: New Solutions to Timeless Problems” in Puerto Rico February 1 —3. This program will cover a broad spectrum of topics that appeal to both a litigation and transactional practice of all experience levels.
She will present a session entitled, "The Construction Trial: Fundamentals of Openings and Presenting Evidence," on February 1 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. This practicum will present best practices on opening statements and presenting evidence, including developing themes and using demonstrative aids in openings, the handling of exhibits during trial and direct examination of both fact and expert witnesses. The second half of the program will offer views of the arbitrator and practitioner and will afford attendees the opportunity to workshop these lessons in a smaller group setting.
Thielbahr is a member of the Construction, Commercial Litigation, Product & General Liability and Cannabis, Hemp & CBD practice groups. She represents government contract and commercial construction industry clients as outside civil litigation counsel. Her practice focuses on assisting contractors and suppliers in dispute resolution in both the commercial and public contracting arena. She works closely with clients on internal compliance investigations and handles formal qui tam and government lawsuits. She is versed at interpreting contract and regulatory compliance.
