Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani was recognized as one of the "Most Feared Law Firms in Litigation" and one of an even smaller group of law firms singled out as "Intimidating Opponents," firms that legal decision-makers say make their intimidating footprint known.
According to the BTI Litigation Outlook 2025 report, firms featured in this highly competitive list are those that top legal decision-makers do not wish to face in the courtroom. These firms are able to challenge long-standing precedents, take on conflict-adjacent matters, operate confidently despite limited known facts, overcome obstacles, and link seemingly unconnected ideas.
The Litigation Outlook report outlines changes, trends, and opportunities for law firms as they move into the new year. This year's results are based on more than 350 interviews with legal decision-makers at large companies with $1 billion or more in revenue and executives who influence hiring at law firms.
The 2025 report also states that as litigation becomes increasingly complex and high-stakes, 57 percent of clients are boosting their litigation budgets for 2025, with two-thirds planning increases of 10 percent or more. This trend, coupled with the fact that clients are open to hiring new firms without formal RFPs, presents a significant business development opportunity for top-tier law practices.
