Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, the nation's first and only full-service law firm with offices in all 50 states, welcomes Jon Borderud as a Partner in the firm's San Diego office, strengthening the Employment Law practice group.
Borderud has extensive experience with labor and employment litigation in state and federal courts, including acting as lead or co-lead counsel in multistate class actions. He handles all aspects of written discovery, law and motion, trial preparation, and appellate work. He also is experienced in negotiating and drafting employment agreements, settlement agreements, severance agreements, and employee handbooks.

He has handled a variety of other civil matters, including breach of contract, misrepresentation, false advertising, unfair competition, trademark and copyright infringement, partnership disputes, and other business litigation. Prior to joining GRSM, Borderud acted as co-lead counsel in a class action with approximately 190 million class members, one of the largest class actions in U.S. history in class size, which involved claims for improper disclosure of financial information.
Borderud is admitted to practice in California. He earned his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts.
