Senior Counsel Suleman Malik will present a three-part CLE webinar series, “Contract Drafting – The Basics and Essentials,” hosted by the New York City Bar Association ("NYC Bar Association") on September 17, October 22, and November 26, 2024. All CLE lectures will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Eastern.
The series teaches participants the essentials of contract drafting, covering framework, language, and key provisions, and offers strategies to avoid common pitfalls from a litigation perspective, including ambiguity and boilerplate issues. It also addresses negotiation techniques and contemporary trends like force majeure clauses and AI in contract automation, providing practical insights through examples and sample agreements.
Mr. Malik is a licensed attorney in New York and New Jersey and an Adjunct Professor at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. He has years of experience representing small to large companies in substantive litigation, transactional, and municipal matters. He has also been selected as a Super Lawyers Metro Rising Star and frequently lectures, offering his perspective on a number of different legal topics.
