One of our key locations for clients in the Washington, D.C. area is home to business litigators, trial lawyers, regulatory advisors, and transactional attorneys. We represent numerous government and public agencies, government contractors, and a range of private companies. Areas of practice depth include labor and employment, business and commercial litigation, professional liability defense, advertising and e-commerce, and artificial intelligence.

The D.C. office opened in 2012, and we have become known for our work in diversity counseling and affirmative action compliance, as well as client advocacy before the FTC and other government agencies.

Our D.C. attorneys also serve as outside general counsel to emerging companies and advise on regulatory and legal obligations throughout the lifecycle of their businesses.

GRSM’s government contracts team often works with GRSM colleagues nationwide to ensure that clients stay competitive and benefit from our local insights. We have deep experience with laws only applicable to government contractors, including employment laws such as Executive Order 11246 and the Service Contract and Davis Bacon Acts.

Along with attorneys in nearby Alexandria, VA, our D.C. attorneys provide clients with full-service representation in sophisticated matters. Many team members attended universities and law schools in D.C. and have had early careers in government service, the military, and human resources. Their areas of knowledge and experience include securities law, antitrust, intellectual property, construction, advertising, food and drug, media, and business transactions, among other areas. Collectively, we collaborate to support private and public clients across our 50 state platform with consistent and integrated legal solutions.
